Attic Arts is a residency programme at the Romanian Cultural Institute in London offering time (two months) and space (the cosy studio of the Institute) for Romanian and Moldovan artists to develop and achieve a new project to be integrated within the Institute’s programme. The applicants have to propose a project that will subsequently be presented at the ICR London or external premises as appropriate. The successful applicants will acknowledge the Attic Arts programme in any public communication of their projects.
The resident artists will have the opportunity to work in a major capital that provides a distinctive mix of cultures, ethnic communities, heritage, and innovation. At the same time, the artists will collaborate with the ICR London team and local partners to develop and complete the proposed project.

Instead of installing concepts with certainty and curatorial authority, what would result in introducing doubt and hesitation as the ruling principles of exhibition making? What kind of knowledge can be acquired from such a skeptical curatorial position? Does it mean that the exhibition will necessarily collapse into itself, or are there other modes of exhibition making, and experiencing, attainable?
